The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes the lifetime work of an individual who has provided leadership or made significant discovery in the field of wound healing and furthered the advancement of wound care and research or done significant work as an advocate for research in the field of wound healing. As we arrive to conclusions of this year’s elections it may be valuable to briefly remind everyone of the process. The composition of the five members of the Nominations Committee changes every year. In order to keep with the "institutional memory" the Chairmanship of this Committee is automatically transferred to the immediate past President of the WHS.
