Young Investigator Award

Recognizes top young researchers furthering innovation in wound healing science. Finalists present at the YI Session during the Annual Meeting. CE credit available for attendees.

Anita Roberts Award

Recognizes outstanding Young Investigators in wound healing research and honors the legacy of Dr. Anita B. Roberts.

Distinguished Service Award

Bestowed for outstanding contributions to the growth and development of the Wound Healing Society. Given every other year in odd-numbered years.

Early-Career Faculty Award

Career development award providing travel support and a speaking invitation to the WHS Annual Meeting for early-career faculty.

Excellence in Translational Regenerative Science

Recognizes scientific work advancing cell-based and other regenerative therapies toward clinical application in wound healing.

Industrial R&D Poster Presentation Awards

Recognizes corporate R&D teams demonstrating mechanisms of action and product efficacy. Formerly the Blue Ribbon Poster Award.

Thomas K. Hunt Honorary Lecture

Named after a founding WHS member and Past President. Honors individuals with major scientific and clinical contributions to wound healing.

Lifetime Achievement Award

Honors lifetime leadership and major contributions advancing wound healing research across an entire career.

Mid-Career Faculty Award

WHS-sponsored career development award providing travel support and an invitation to speak at an international scientific conference.

SAWC Spring Research Scholar

Awarded to the highest-ranked abstract not qualifying for other categories. Recipient must be a WHS member and not a Young Investigator.

Trainee Travel Award

Recognizes and supports top trainees in wound healing research by facilitating attendance at the WHS Annual Meeting.

WHS Members Junior Faculty Travel Grant

Recognizes and supports non-tenured junior faculty in wound healing research by facilitating attendance at the WHS Annual Meeting.

Applications Open

WHS Summer Research Fellowship Award

Supports early-stage researchers with a $3,000 stipend, $1,000 for lab supplies, and a $1,000 travel grant.

WoundShark Innovation Award

Innovation competition held during the WHS Annual Meeting highlighting groundbreaking science and product innovation in wound care.
