Young Investigator Awards

Recognizes innovative research from emerging scientists through a competitive abstract process, with four winners announced at the annual awards ceremony.

Trainee Travel Awards

A competitive travel award recognizing top trainees in wound healing research by supporting their attendance at the WHS Annual Meeting.

Junior Faculty Travel Awards

A monetary travel award supporting junior faculty in wound healing research to attend the WHS Annual Meeting, with recipients competitively selected based on submitted abstract scores.

Visiting Scholar Award (Early-Career)

Provides travel support and a speaking invitation at SAWC Fall for new faculty within their first five years of appointment, selected through an application and review process.

Visiting Scholar Award (Mid-Career)

Provides travel support and a speaking invitation at the European Tissue Repair Society annual meeting for faculty within their first ten years as associate professor, selected through an application and review process.

WHS Summer Research Fellow

A mentored summer research fellowship for young researchers that includes a $3,000 stipend, $1,000 for lab supplies, and a $1,000 travel grant.

WHS Research Grant

A $25,000 grant awarded to WHS Junior Faculty Members in their first five years who meet NIH new investigator criteria, selected through a rigorous application and review process.

Past-President's Education Initiative

An initiative aimed at improving patient care by enhancing wound healing education for trainees and established front-line practitioners across the healthcare continuum.

TK Hunt Lecture

A sponsored keynote address presented by a leading international expert in wound repair and regenerative science, held on Day 1 of the WHS Annual Meeting at SAWC Spring.

WHS Educational Webinars

Webinars organized by the WHS Education Committee to promote fundamental knowledge and significant advances in wound healing science.
Events

Networking / Social Event

An off-site members’ networking event held annually during the scientific forum, drawing 250–300 WHS members for an evening of connection and visibility.

President's Reception

An invitation-only cocktail reception for the Board of Directors, Past Presidents, awardees, and special guests to engage with leaders in the wound healing field.

BOD Dinner

An annual dinner hosted for the WHS Board of Directors, offering sponsors direct interaction with the society’s governing board and internationally recognized wound healing experts.
